Chris first enlisted into the Unites States Army, serving as an Air Defense Artillery Vulcan crewman. He then graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate of The Ohio State University ROTC program and received a Regular Army commission as a Finance Corps Officer. Chris served in a variety of Finance and Comptroller positions in the Unites States, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Hungary. He is also a graduate of the Defense Comptrollership Program at Syracuse. He retired from active service as a Lieutenant Colonel.
