Staff Sergeant Jorge Acevedo entered the U.S. Army on 14 July 1989. He served overseas tours in Germany, Korea, Bosnia, Iraq and numerous stateside assignments. SSG Acevedo retires honorably after 21 years of Service. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal; the Army Commendation Medal, 5th award; and the Army Achievement Medal, 5th award. At the time of his retirement, SSG Acevedo served as Bridge Section Sergeant, Bridge Inspector, Squad Leader, and Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear Sergeant. I believe, a unit's success is the reflection of every member's dedication.
