Nick enlisted in the U.S. Navy out of Huntsville, Alabama at the age of 17. He served as the RADAR Chief and Divisional Leading Petty Officer onboard the USS Fort McHenry from 2010 to 2015. He then served as the Ground Electronics Leading Petty Officer and Command Career Counselor at Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi from 2015 to 2020. During his time with the USS Fort McHenry, Nick deployed twice, providing support after the 2012 Benghazi attacks, and again during the 2015 uprising in Yemen. Nick was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer First Class in January 2020.
