I joined the Michigan Army National Guard March 2002 at the age of 17 and was a member of B. Co. 1/125 INF out of Saginaw, MI. I was an Infantryman and I went to basic training and A.I.T. at Fort Moore, Georgia (formerly Ft. Benning). Less than a month after completing A.I.T., my unit received orders to deploy to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt to support the Multinational Force and Observers mission in 2004. I returned to Michigan following my deployment and a few years later I received orders in 2007 to deploy to Ramadi, Iraq for all of 2008. I served honorably and was honorably discharged in 2010.
