After finishing BCT at Fort Leonard Wood and AIT at Fort Huachuca as an Army intelligence analyst, I was stationed at Fort Lewis (now JBLM) in 2008. I was set deploy with my unit but a medical issues popped up that made me non-deployable. The only time I went overseas was during a South Korea military exercise. I worked in the security office during most of my time at JBLM. I remained in garrison until I was medboarded in 2012. My military service was uneventful but not less important. I'm proud of getting promoted to Sergeant (E5) while at JBLM and being a good role model to junior soldiers.
